According to Nadella, such co-operation, on the contrary, promotes competition in the field of artificial intelligence. He is confident that regulators will support this view, as without Microsoft's risky investments, there would not be the recent AI breakthroughs available now.
Nadella added that following recent organisational changes at OpenAI, Microsoft is interested in the stability of the partnership between the companies. Separately, he touched on the US election in 2024, assuring that Microsoft will do its best to fight misinformation and protect the electoral process.
Recall that Microsoft has invested about $13bn in OpenAI. The startup attracted attention in 2022 after the launch of ChatGPT. In a matter of months, the tool has demonstrated impressive progress in the field of natural language processing.
