Arizona State University (ASU) has partnered with OpenAI to bring the ChatGPT Enterprise generative AI tool into the classroom.
Here's What We Know
According to a statement from ASU, the use of the chatbot will focus on three key areas:
- Improving student success;
- Creating new opportunities for innovative research;
- Streamlining organisational processes at the university.
ASU's deputy director of informatisation, Kyle Bowen, said the university's faculty are already using ChatGPT in the educational process. He noted that after the release of the corporate version of the chatbot with improved security it makes sense to expand this cooperation.
ASU will begin accepting applications for AI projects from faculty and students in February. According to the university, this is the first partnership of its kind between OpenAI and an educational institution.
