AI startup ElevenLabs has raised $80 million and launched a marketplace for cloned voices

Voice AI startup ElevenLabs has announced it has raised $80m in investment and joined the unicorn club with a $1.1bn valuation. The Series B round was led by VC funds including a16z and Sequoia Capital.

In conjunction with the investment, ElevenLabs announced the launch of a one-click film dubbing tool and a marketplace where users can sell generated voices. The startup's CEO said the technology can clone voices and convert speech in 29 languages, making content universally accessible.

ElevenLabs was founded in 2022. In the last six months, the startup's audience has grown to 1 million people. Its customers include major media giants and 41% of Fortune 500 companies.

The funding raised will be used for R&D and the release of industry-specific products based on voice AI.
