NVIDIA launches RTX 500 and 1000 generation Ada notebook GPUs for artificial intelligence on the go
NVIDIA
NVIDIA has introduced the next generation of RTX 500 and RTX 1000 mobile GPUs based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. They are optimised for real-time artificial intelligence processing tasks.
Here's What We Know
NVIDIA says the new GPUs meet the growing demand for powerful mobile solutions for generative AI and hybrid workflows in a variety of industries.
Combined with a neural CPU, the GPUs deliver AI acceleration of up to 682 TOPS for light and heavy tasks. This is times the performance of CPU-only configurations.
The company claims that the RTX 500 delivers up to 14 times the generative AI performance for models like Stable Diffusion, up to three times faster AI photo editing, and up to 10 times the graphics performance for 3D rendering compared to a CPU-only configuration.
The RTX 500 and 1000 will be used in new mobile workstations from NVIDIA partners including Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI. Deliveries are expected in spring 2024.
