OPPO, following OnePlus, announced a new smartphone update policy.
Here's What We Know
Like OnePlus, OPPO has promised to update its devices for 5 years. We are talking about 4 years of Android operating system updates and 5 years of security patches. In comparison, Google Pixel smartphones are updated for 4 years.
Unfortunately, the new policy applies only to some OPPO devices. What exactly the company did not tell, but we can suggest that these are mid-budget and flagship smartphones.
By the way, OPPO has already updated to Android 13 (ColorOS 13) 33 models in the global market. According to the manufacturer, the new version of the software is distributed 50% faster than last year's version of Android 12 (ColorOS 12).
