Fairphone 3 and Fairphone 3+ receive Android 13 update and extended support until 2026

Fairphone announced the Fairphone 4 in the US the other day, and now it's delighting owners of previous devices with some great news.

The manufacturer has announced an Android 13 update for the Fairphone 3 and Fairphone 3+ smartphones. The firmware has already started rolling out to the gadgets in waves. What is internally known is that the company has skipped Android 12. That is, the devices are upgrading from Android 11 to the current version of the golden robot at once.

On top of that, Fairphone said it will extend support for older smartphones for another two years. The Fairphone 3 and Fairphone 3+ were originally set to expire in 2024, but now the devices will be updated up to and including 2026.
