New volume sliders introduced in Android 15 DP2
Android 15 DP2 brings significant changes to the volume bar that will surprise users with its new functionality and updated aesthetics.
Here's What We Know
Developers note the radical change in appearance and additional features of the new volume sliders compared to the previous Android 14.
Compared to its predecessor, Android 15 DP2 offers completely redesigned volume sliders. Not only do they now have animations for a better user experience, but they also have the ability to minimise using the arrow next to the Media slider.
The new volume bar displays only the options you need, such as Media, Call, Call, Notifications, and Alarm, making it more clear and user-friendly. In addition, each slider now has a dot that indicates the maximum volume level for each attribute.
Additional changes also apply to attributes such as "noise control" and spatial sound, which are retained in the new volume bar design.
