Xiaomi has officially confirmed many bugs in MIUI 12.5 on Android 12

On October 4, Xiaomi released MIUI 12.5 Android 12 firmware for the Mi 11i flagship. A few hours later, the manufacturer officially confirmed, that the new version of the software is available for six smartphones. But the company also acknowledged that there are a lot of bugs in the software.

What we know

The global version of MIUI 12.5 on Android 12 is available for Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11i and Mi 11 Ultra, while the Chinese version is available for Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+. All the smartphones received a security patch for September 2021.

Most of the current models run on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5. Due to this, users have logically wondered what the difference in the firmware is apart from the operating system revision. Xiaomi, on the other hand, officially, which is rare, has acknowledged a lot of issues.

In particular, after installing MIUI 12.5 on Android 12, users of the above smartphones will face increased power consumption, low performance and incompatibility with some applications. There will also be minor bugs and problems with the stability of the system as a whole.
