Xiaomi back in early October admitted a number of problems in the firmware MIUI 12.5 based on the operating system Android 12. Three weeks later, there are even more.

What we know

At the beginning of the month, the 3 main problems were: low performance, fast charge loss and incompatibility with apps. Even though three weeks have passed since then, the company is still addressing the issue of third-party software compatibility with Android 12.

Users are also noticing the dark theme not working properly, slow app loading and low volume. Of course, it is not without the sudden reboots of smartphones. Xiaomi has officially acknowledged all these problems, but there is no information about the timing of the release of the fixes yet.

Who should fear

So far, the global version of the firmware is only available for three flagship smartphones 2021. Thus, Android 12 has been released on Xiaomi Mi 11i, Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra.

In China, Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro got the update. The company is also releasing an Android 12-based update for the Xiaomi Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro in India. Note that the closed beta of MIUI 12.5 and its issues we don't take into account.
