Hyundai Ioniq 6: Electric car with 610 km range, fast charging and Porsche 911S Turbo-inspired design

Hyundai has held a presentation of its new electric car.

What we know

The novelty is called Ioniq 6. The car has received a design that resembles the Porsche 911S Turbo. That is a coupe with a streamlined design Electrified Streamliner.

The electric car will come with a single-engine rear-wheel drive and two-engine all-wheel drive versions. The most powerful model has about 300 hp, a 77.4 kWh battery and a range of up to 610 kilometers. It will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. By the way, according to the manufacturer, Hyundai Ioniq 6 is one of the most energy efficient electric vehicles. The base version of the car with a 53 kWh battery, rear-wheel drive, one engine and 18-inch wheels will consume less than 14 kWh per 100 km. Using a 350 kW charger, the Ioniq 6 will charge from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. 

As for the interior, it got a 12-inch dashboard and the same multimedia system. Novelty supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, as well as updating by air for almost all systems of cars. Bose acoustics are responsible for the sound in the novelty. 

Price and when to expect

Production of Ioniq 6 should begin in the third quarter of this year, and sales - in early 2023. Price of the novelty is not available yet.
