In early 2022, Google introduced its cloud-based operating system Chrome OS Flex. At that time it could only be installed by some corporate customers, but now the OS is available to everyone.

The system is compatible with more than 400 computer models  including ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG and Apple. All you need to install it is an 8+ GB USB flash drive. As for the minimum system requirements, they include Intel or AMD x86-64-bit processor, 4GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM and access to BIOS.

Chrome OS Flex is a cloud-based system, which is designed for older PCs and Macs. According to the company, the OS is installed in minutes and can run on 13-year-old devices. Chrome OS Flex is based on Chrome OS. The systems share the same interface and code base. Chrome OS Flex has support for Google Assistant and the ability to sync with Android smartphones.
