NVIDIA announced a flagship graphics card GeForce RTX 4090 on the Ada Lovelace architecture. It will be available in less than a month.

Here's What We Know

The 4nm AD102-300 video chip has up to 76 billion transistors and 16,384 CUDA cores. There are also third-generation RT cores for ray tracing and fourth-generation tensor cores in the arsenal. The GPU has a claimed operating frequency of 2.23-2.52 GHz.

The chip is connected to 24GB of GDDR6X-type video memory via a 384-bit bus. The memory has an effective frequency of 21 GHz and a maximum bandwidth of 1 TB/s. NVIDIA also claims power consumption of 450W, which is 100W higher than the GeForce RTX 3090.

The theoretical performance of the graphics card is 82.6 TFLOPS. It is more than double the performance of the GeForce RTX 3090. In addition, it is eight times higher than the PlayStation 5 gaming console. As for the actual performance, the company promises a four-fold increase compared to the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
