Mercedes introduces electric truck with 800 km range, 815 hp engine and 1.2 million km range
The German automobile giant Mercedes-Benz has presented an electric truck. The novelty is called eActros LongHaul and is designed to transport goods over long distances.

The eActros LongHaul is currently only a prototype. It was announced in 2020. Mercedes-Benz says that the final version of the vehicle will undergo changes in terms of appearance. There is still time for this, as production will start in two years.
The Mercedes-Benz eActros LongHaul is equipped with two electric motors with a total of 815 horsepower at its peak. The constant power output of the powertrain is reduced to 545 horsepower. A 600 kWh battery provides a range of 500 km. A 1MW fast charger can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Trailer Dynamics and Krone are going to release a trailer called eTrailer that will be able to increase range from 500 to 800 kilometers with an integrated battery. At the same time the manufacturer planned resource of eActros LongHaul is 1.2 million for 10 years.
The cost of the vehicle is not specified yet. Production will start in 2024. Mercedes-Benz plans to produce eActros LongHaul in two versions: a truck and trailer.
