Sony has expanded its FX Cinema Line series with a new model. It's called Sony FX30 and is designed to record high-definition video.

Here's What We Know

The Sony FX30 is a mirrorless camera equipped with an EXMOR R sensor in APS-C format. The resolution is 26 MP. The camera can record 4K ULTRA HD video at 60 FPS (h.264/265, 10-bit, 4:2:2) or Full HD at up to 240 FPS. It also claims to support 4K ULTRA HD at 120 FPS, but with a cropped 1.62x.

The Japanese manufacturer claims the camera has a wide dynamic range, 496 focus points and offers users the Sony S-Cinetone profile, which allows for natural tones. The ISO range is 100,000-32,000.

The novelty can't shoot continuous photos, has no uncompressed RAW format and a menual shutter, which the FX3 can boast of. But the lack of such features had a positive impact on the cost. The Sony FX30 will cost $1800. Paying extra $400, you can buy a set with XLR microphone holder.
