Redmi Pad: 10.6-inch 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G99 chip, up to 6GB of RAM, four speakers and 8,000mAh battery for $184
After months of rumors and leaks, Xiaomi introduced its first tablet under the brand name Redmi.
Here's What We Know
The novelty is called the Redmi Pad. The device has a metal body with a thickness of 7.1 mm and a 10.6-inch LCD screen with 2K resolution and refresh rate of 90 Hz. The tablet runs an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 processor paired with 3/4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage.
The novelty has four speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an 8 MP main camera with autofocus, a front camera with the same module, but a viewing angle of 105 degrees and an 8000 mAh battery. It supports charging at 18W, but the tablet comes with a power supply for 22.5W. The gadget has Wi-Fi and the Android 12 operating system. The manufacturer promises two major system updates and three years of security patches.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Redmi Pad will start selling on October 5, but so far only in India. In other countries, the device will appear a little later.
