Garmin Instinct Grossover - $550 hybrid smartwatch that can last up to 70 days without recharging
Garmin has expanded its smartwatch range with the Instinct Grossover hybrid model, which can work without recharging for more than two months.
Here's What We Know
The Garmin Instinct Grossover has a running time of 70 days without recharging. This applies to the Solar Edition, which is equipped with solar cells. The company also claims that the wearable gadget can work "indefinitely" in power-saving mode, when only the date, time and stopwatch are available to the user.
The smart watch can track health indicators, including heart rate, sleep quality/length and oxygen saturation levels. In addition, the model has received support for tracking the VO2 Max fitness marker.
The Garmin Instinct Grossover can operate underwater to a depth of 100 meters. The case protection against shocks and extreme temperatures complies with the U.S. Army MIL-STD-810 military standard. Other features of the new product include GPS, TracBack, and user tracking relative to a set point (Reference Point).
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Garmin Instinct Grossover is already available to order, but so far only in the US. Deliveries will start in 3-5 weeks. The Solar Edition is priced at $550. Also available to users is the standard model for $500. It can run from 110 hours (with active GPS) to a month.
The most expensive version of the Garmin Instinct Grossover is called the Tactical Edition. It is compatible with night vision devices and has a stealth mode. The price of such modification is $600.
