Samsung announced curved monitor Odyssey OLED G9 with a frame rate of 240 Hz

Along with Odyssey Neo G9, Samsung introduced another monitor. The second novelty is called Samsung Odyssey OLED G9.

Here's What We Know

The monitor is equipped with a curved display diagonal of 49". The panel on the organic LEDs has a curvature radius of 1800R, refresh rate of 240 Hz and a resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels. The manufacturer claims compliance with the HDR True Black 400 standard, i.e. the maximum brightness of the monitor is 400 nit.

Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is focused on use with consoles, but it can also act as a game console with a screen. All you need to do is to connect a controller and run a cloud service like NVIDIA GeForce Now.

In addition, the monitor can be used as a TV. To do this, there is support for Smart Hub with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video applications.

Sales launch date and price of Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 are not specified. However, the company also recalled that the Odyssey G8 QD-OLED monitor will hit the market "very soon." It was announced at the IFA 2022.
