NVIDIA unveiled a $799 graphics card that it does not plan to sell itself
NVIDIA announced the third generation of Ada Lovelace graphics cards. The GeForce RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 are joined by the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
Here's What We Know
We can now officially state that the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is a copy of the GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card with 12GB of video memory introduced in the fall. But $100 cheaper. It uses an AD104-400 chip with 7,680 stream processors, 35.8 billion transistors and speeds up to 2.61 GHz.
GDDR6X video memory has 21GHz per contact, supports a 192-bit bus and has a bandwidth of 504GB/s. The manufacturer claims the novelty can be up to three times faster than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti in games. But taking DLSS into account.
Price & When We Can Expect It
Curiously, NVIDIA announced the price of the Founders Edition, but has no plans to sell the graphics cards itself. The price was $799, while the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB was priced at $899. Partner-issued graphics cards will be available on January 5.
