Acer introduced Predator Helios laptops with Intel Raptor Lake chips, GeForce RTX 4080 graphics starting at $1650

Acer has updated its Predator Helios line of gaming notebooks. The new products are available in two sizes with 16" and 18" displays.

Here's What We Know

Both models are equipped with displays with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz or 240 Hz. Type of matrix is not specified, but probably we are talking about IPS panel. Separately, we should mention the availability of top-end version with Mini LED display, which has a refresh rate of 250 Hz.

Notebooks Predator Helios equipped with Intel Raptor Lake generation processors with the index HX. The graphics subsystem is represented by a discrete GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card, regardless of modification.

The RAM capacity is up to 32GB (DDR5-4800) and the storage is 2TB (SSD PCIe 4.0). The laptops also feature an RGB backlit keyboard, Wi-Fi 6E controller, Thunderbolt 4 (x2), HDMI 2.1 (x1) and USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 (x3) connectors along with a microSD slot.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The gaming laptops will be available later this year. The Acer Predator Helios 16" costs from $1650 (from $2800 for the Mini LED screen version). The Predator Helios 18" will be available for at least $1700 ($3000 for the Mini LED version).
