ASUS upgraded the gaming hybrid notebook and tablet ROG Flow - using new AMD and Intel processors, NVIDIA graphics and longer battery life
ASUS has unveiled new versions of its ROG Flow series of hybrid notebooks and tablets. The announcement took place during CES 2023 without announcing prices.
Here's What We Know
ASUS ROG Flow X13 and X16 notebooks can be used as tablets because they have touch-screens and a lid that hinges 360 degrees. A larger model has support for connecting external graphics cards from NVIDIA.
The Taiwanese company's developers this time decided to fix one of the biggest problems of ROG Flow devices of previous generations. In fact, it's about battery life. The ROG Flow X13 has a 75W*h battery instead of 62W*h, and the ROG Flow Z13 tablet has 130W*h instead of 56W*h. The battery capacity in the ROG Flow X16 is unchanged (90Wh).
The Verge reports that one version of the ROG Flow X13 features an AMD Ryzen 9 processor, NVIDIA graphics card, 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB drive. The ROG Flow X16 offers customers the same, but uses Intel Raptor Lake CPUs instead of AMD chips. The ROG Flow Z13 tablet has up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in memory.
ASUS has not officially disclosed not only the configuration of new products, but also the parameters of displays. It is only known that there will be different types of displays, and the ROG Flow X16 will be the only mini-LED panel with 240 Hz frame rate and a maximum brightness of 1200 nit.
The cost of hybrid laptops and a next-generation tablet has not yet been specified. The 2021 models have been available at prices ranging from $1,300 to $2,700.
