Alienware x16, the brand's first 16" laptop since 2004, is introduced
Alienware's range of laptops has been expanded for the first time since 2004 with a 16" diagonal model. This is Alienware x16. Dell also presented a variant with 14" screen.
Here's What We Know
Unlike the Alienware M laptops, which are focused on gamers, the company says that the Alienware X laptops are also aimed at everyday work.
Dell assures that the Alienware x16 is the most premium model in the company's range. The chassis is made of metal. Inside, there are six stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. And lots of AlienFX RGB lighting. It is even on the touchpad. What's more, the user can customize the backlighting for each individual key. The frame refresh rate is up to 480 Hz.
The hardware here is familiar if you follow the novelties of CES 2023. At the heart of the Alienware x16 are Intel Raptor Lake-HX chips. The top-end modification is equipped with GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop graphics.
The model with a 14" display also has its own feature. Dell claims that the Alienware x14 is the world's thinnest gaming laptop with a 14" screen. It has QHD+ resolution and a frame rate of 165Hz.
The hardware platform is a bit more modest compared to the Alienware x16. The top variant of the laptop got a GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop graphics card and an Intel Core i7-13620H chip.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Alienware x16 will go on sale in two waves. First there will be top-of-the-line versions (from $3099) and then more modest versions (from $2149). Alienware x14 will go on sale starting at $1799.
