The CES 2023 Consumer Electronics Show will feature many interesting devices. Right now, the information field is taken over by NVIDIA mobile and desktop graphics cards, Intel chips for desktops and laptops, monitors, notebooks, etc. But there are also quite unusual solutions. For example, U-Scan.

Here's What We Know

This is a home lab introduced by Withings. It can analyze human urine. The device is installed in the toilet and consists of two elements: a cartridge and a reader.

The U-Scan is equipped with radars and a temperature sensor that must be urinated on. No additional instruments are required for the operation of the laboratory.

Depending on the modification, the cartridge is able to determine luteinizing hormone levels, hydration levels and pH or pH, hydration and vitamin C levels. The first version of the cartridge is called Cycle Sync and the second is called Nutri Balance. One cartridge is enough for about 100 tests.

The new product will be sold in Europe for €500. U-Scan sales are scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2023.
