Samsung has introduced a new generation of Neo QLED TVs. The 2023 lineup offers customers 4K UHD and 8K UHD panels.

Here's What We Know

The most advanced model is called the Samsung Neo QLED QN900C. It features a QLED display with 14-bit Mini-LED backlighting and brightness up to 4,000 nits. The novelty supports 8K Real Depth Enhancer Pro and Shape Adaptive Light to improve contrast. It also uses a special algorithm to turn SDR content into HDR.

Another interesting model is the Samsung QN935C. The TV also has a QLED panel with Mini-LED backlight, but the resolution is reduced from 8K to 4K. The novelty is distinguished by a new power supply, a narrow screen frame and a thickness of about 20 mm.

The TVs get HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG support. Dolby Vision HDR support is still missing. Q-Symphony technology is responsible for providing better sound quality using the capabilities of a neural chip.

Another feature is support for SmartThings, Matter and ZigBee. This means that with the new Neo QLED TVs, users will be able to control compatible smart home devices. SmartThings works with Alexa and Google Home.

The software platform is a proprietary operating system Tizen. Users are offered GamingHub with cloud-based gaming services, including NVIDIA GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Samsung Neo QLED 2023 TVs are expected to be launched in the first quarter of the year. The price will be announced later.
