Taiwan manufacturer ASUS presented at CES 2023 two notebooks, which use 3D OLED displays. In this case, to work with them the user does not need special 3D-glasses.

Here's What We Know

The technology for displaying 3D images is called Spatial Vision. It uses a lenticular lens and tracks the motion of the pupils to render images. And the rendering is done separately for each eye. The manufacturer claims that two people can simultaneously see a three-dimensional image on the notebook.

Journalists from The Verge noted the difference in quality between the content of third-party developers, and the one that was created specifically to demonstrate the technology Spatial Vision at CES 2023. There is an option to switch to 2D mode for all comers.

As for the laptops themselves, for starters, let's note that they are called ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED and ASUS Vivobook Pro 16X 3D OLED. Both are equipped with 3.2K screens with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a diagonal of 16".

The ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED model gets an Intel Core i9-13980HX processor with GeForce RTX 40 graphics cards, up to 64GB of RAM, an 8TB SSD in the top variant and Thunderbolt 4 support. In the second quarter, ASUS will introduce a configuration with an NVIDIA RTX professional graphics card.

The Vivobook Pro 16X 3D OLED can also have 64GB of RAM, and the maximum SSD capacity is 2TB. The hardware platform is represented by the same Intel Core i9-13980HX, while GeForce RTX 40 is responsible for the graphics.
