HP Omen 17 - gaming laptop with Intel Core 13th generation and GeForce RTX 40 from $1700

HP at CES 2023 presented not only Dragonfly laptops for freelancers. The manufacturer also announced a gaming model Omen 17 with top specifications.

Here's What We Know

The specifications of most of the laptops announced at CES 2023 can be named with closed eyes without reading the companies' press releases. The HP Omen 17 was no exception. It got GeForce RTX 40-series graphics cards and Intel's Raptor Lake-HX generation Core processors, led by the 24-core Core i9-13900HX.

The SSD storage capacity is 512-2048 GB. Additionally, the user will be able to install two more SSDs with a maximum capacity of 512GB each. The maximum RAM capacity is 32 GB. At that, the Core i9 version gets DDR5-5600, and the Core i7 variant is equipped with DDR5 with 4800 MHz.

The screen diagonal is 17.3". The HP Omen offers users three options: Full HD at 144Hz, QHD at 165Hz and QHD at 165Hz. But we are not talking about performance modes, as in the case of the Razer Blade 16, but three different configurations.

Price & When We Can Expect It

HP Omen 17 will be available for purchase as early as this month. The price is from $1700. Also in the winter the Omen gaming desktops with GeForce RTX 4080 / 4090 will appear on the market, but the price is not specified.
