Lenovo unveiled new ThinkPad X1 business laptops with Raptor Lake-P chips, Intel Iris Xe graphics and 5G support starting at $1649

Lenovo, along with the Yoga 9i, introduced some less fatalistic laptops. The manufacturer presented two ThinkPad X1 variants at CES 2023.

Here's What We Know

We start with the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 8. It features a 14" OLED panel with touch support and a resolution of 2840 x 2400 dots. There is also an option with an IPS screen (1920 x 1200 pixels). The maximum brightness is 500 nit each.

The laptop does not have a discrete graphics card, and the graphics subsystem is represented by an integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU. The processor is Intel Core i5 / i7, depending on the package. Both use the Raptor Lake generation P-series chip. The maximum amount of RAM is 64GB (LPDDR5), and the SSD capacity is 2TB.

The laptop has a 57Wh battery and 65W fast charging support. The model also gets two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one HDMI 2.0b and will optionally be available with support for 5G / LTE cellular networks.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 11 has almost identical technical parameters. The first difference is the lack of a touchscreen display. The modification with OLED display has a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. In addition, the cover does not hinge 360 degrees.

Another new product is Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3. Here, too, Core i5 / i7 series Raptor Lake-P is used. Optionally, the model will be available with support for LTE networks. The maximum amount of RAM is 16 GB and the SSD is 1 TB.

The laptop is equipped with a touchscreen (optional) 13" display with a resolution of 2160 x 1350 pixels and brightness up to 450 nits. Battery capacity was 16GB and wired charging power was 65 watts.

Price & When We Can Expect It

All laptops will hit the market in April 2023. The X 1 Nano Gen 3 will cost from $1649. The X1 Carbon Gen 11 model will cost from $1729. The most expensive new product is the X1 Yoga Gen 8. It will cost at least $1859.
