One of Lenovo's new products at CES 2023 was the Smart Paper digital notepad. It is the Chinese company's answer to the Amazon Kindle Scribe introduced last year.

Here's What We Know

Lenovo Smart Paper is a great option for those who have to write a lot, but do not want to use conventional notebooks. Lenovo's new product has a 10.3" E-Ink display and is encased in an all-metal case. The screen resolution is 1872 x 1404 dots, and the pixel density is 227 ppi.

The digital notepad comes with Lenovo's proprietary Smart Paper Pen stylus. Apparently, when choosing a name for the accessory, the company decided not to break a sweat at all. The digital pen has no battery, so there is no need to worry about recharging.

The stylus is equipped with a felt tip and has a delay of up to 23 ms. This will be enough to not feel uncomfortable while writing notes. Nine pen settings are available to the user, including marker, pencil and regular pen. Lenovo Smart Paper Pen supports 4,096 degrees of pressure.

Lenovo Smart Paper allows you to create more than just text notes. The user can record audio thanks to the presence of two microphones. So, the novelty is also a voice recorder. To access your notes from anywhere, you can synchronize data between Android, Windows and iOS devices.

Now let's talk about the technical characteristics of the device. Lenovo Smart Paper is equipped with a RockChip quad-core Cprtex-A55 processor with a frequency of 1.8 GHz. The RAM is 4 GB and the storage has a capacity of 64 GB, of which about 50 GB is available to the user.

The novelty comes with a battery capacity of 3550 mA*h. According to the manufacturer, this is enough to create 170 pages with notes or to read more than 8,500 pages without needing to recharge. The weight of the device is 408 g. The Lenovo Smart Paper also got USB-C, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. The software platform is Android 11.
