Leica unveils Cine 1 laser 4K projector with Google TV and 25,000 hour life for $8,300

Leica unveiled its first laser projector at CES 2023. It is called the Cine 1 and will be available in the first half of the year.

Here's What We Know

The Leica Cine 1 runs on the Google TV operating system, so the company calls it a smart TV. The body of the device is made of metal. Inside, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless communication adapters are installed.

The projector is equipped with an ultra-short-focus Summicron lens. The maximum projection range reaches 120". Contrast ratio is 1000 to 1 at 2500 lumens (maximum). The device can display images in 4K UHD resolution and has a lifespan of 25,000 hours.

The Leica Cine 1 comes with a TV tuner, HDMI 2.1 (x2) and HDMI 2.0 (x1) connectors, S/PDIF, CL+, USB and Mini-Jack. To connect to the Internet, in addition to the Wi-Fi adapter, there is an Ethernet port. Also, the novelty has speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The Leica Cine 1 is more expensive than many TVs. The price of the new projector is $8300. Sales are scheduled to start in the second half of the year.
