CES 2023 has already ended, but some novelties were left without attention, although they do not deserve it. For example, the company OWO brought to the exhibition in Las Vegas VR-suit, which is able to simulate different tactile sensations, including crawling and insect bites, blows, etc.

Here's What We Know

The suit is called OWO Skin. The company is still in no hurry to reveal the technical specifications of the novelty, but promises about three dozen sensations at the start. For this purpose, the suit is divided into 10 zones. Simulation of sensations is performed by generating electrical pulses, the strength of which is regulated by special software. The application is available for iOS, Android and Windows.

The suit itself is made of elastic materials, and its weight is just over 0.5 kg. Customers will be available in nine sizes, from 2XS to 4XL. According to the developers, a full battery charge is enough for 8 hours of work without recharging. The suit connects to smartphones and computers via Bluetooth.

OWO Skin can simulate crawling and insect bites, blows, stab wounds and bullet hits. At the same time, journalists who saw the VR-suit at CES 2023, noted that the most unpleasant feeling was the itching that occurs when imitating the crawling spiders.

Price & When We Can Expect It

OWO Skin will be available in limited quantities. The company plans to sell only 2,000 VR suits. The price in Europe is €499, but now the novelty is available for pre-order at a discount of €100. A long-sleeved version is expected soon.
