Apple introduced Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro chips starting from $599
Apple introduced not only MacBook Pro with M2 Max and M2 Pro chips. The manufacturer from Cupertino announced the Mac mini computer, but it is not available in a modification with the M2 Max processor - only the M2 Pro and the usual M2. But the price has dropped in comparison with the last generation.
Here's What We Know
Externally, there are no differences from the old Mac mini on the M1 / M1 Pro. The modification with the M2 processor is equipped with 8-24 GB of RAM and 256-2048 GB of storage. The chip itself has a 16-core GPU and an 8-core CPU. The novelty offers users Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, one HDMI connector, a pair of USB-A, Ethernet and two Thunderbolt 4.
The Mac mini with the M2 Pro processor offers twice as much RAM as the base model. SSD capacity is also doubled. The chip has a 10- or 12-core CPU and a 16- or 19-core GPU. Also a bonus is a couple of additional Thunderbolt 4 connectors. The rest of the specs are the same as the Mac mini on the M2.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The minicomputers will start being shipped on January 23, 2023. The Mac mini with the M2 processor is priced from $599. The version based on the M2 Pro chip costs from $1299. Note that the Mac mini of the last generation appeared on sale for $699.
