Samsung unveils new 4TB Portable T7 Shield SSD

Samsung announced the Portable T7 Shield, a secure SSD with up to 2TB capacity, in 2022, and has now released a new version.

Here's What We Know

The new product has been given a 4TB drive. As for the other specs, they haven't changed. The device features a compact rubberised enclosure with IP65 water protection, a USB-C port, read speeds of up to 1,050MB/s and write speeds of up to 1,000MB/s. The company claims the drive is drop resistant up to 275cm.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The 4TB Portable T7 Shield is already available on Samsung's official website for $430. Incidentally, the company has also lowered the prices of the 1TB ($99 instead of $109) and 2TB versions ($179 instead of $209).
