OnePlus unveils its first Hub 5G Router

OnePlus has unveiled not only its first tablet computer, but also its debut router. The model is called OnePlus Hub 5G Router.

Here's What We Know

The novelty looks like a smart speaker. It has a cylindrical shape. Inside, there is a Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapter and a modem board that provides support for fifth and fourth generation networks.

The OnePlus Hub 5G Router can act as a home Mash system and has received support for the Matter smart home protocol. Unfortunately, there is no more information about the router. The rest of the specifications and pricing will be revealed in the summer.

It's worth noting that OnePlus said at the launch that it is no longer positioned as a 'flagship killer'. It is now transforming itself into an ecosystem builder. Its concept is called 1+4+X, where 1 is smartphones, 4 is other devices, and X is a router.
