Mate announces cargo electric bike with large luggage carrier for €6499
Mate has been making folding electric bikes for seven years, and the day before it announced its first cargo bike equipped with an electric motor. The novelty is called the Mate SUV.
Here's What We Know
The electric cargo bike is still at the prototype stage. It is equipped with a 250-watt motor that enables it to accelerate up to 25 km/h. The manufacturer is Oli Edge. The engine produces a maximum torque of 90 N*m.
According to the manufacturer, the Mate SUV can travel 100 km on a full battery charge. Weight of the vehicle without accessories is 49 kg. Optionally, a child seat and a roof that will protect against rain can be installed. The boot capacity is 210 litres.
The Mate SUV can be used to charge gadgets. It is equipped with a USB port. The electric bike also has an anti-theft system and LED lighting.

The Mate SUV was priced at €6499 / £6499. The electric bike will go on sale in the UK and European Union in September 2023. To pre-order, you'll need to pay €49 / £49.
