Samsung Sound Tower MX-ST45B: 160-watt wireless speaker with illumination, IPX5 protection and up to 12-hour battery life

Samsung has announced a new wireless speaker.

Here's What We Know

The new speaker is called Sound Tower MX-ST45B. When connected wirelessly, the speaker outputs 80 watts. If you connect the device through a cable, the output will increase to 160 W. The device has IPX5 water protection and boasts LED backlighting. It is configurable via the proprietary app. The Sound Tower MX-ST45B also has NFC for quick pairing and a 3.5mm jack. It supports AAC, WAV, FLAC, MP3 and Bluetooth multi-connection. That is, the speaker can be simultaneously connected to multiple devices. On a single charge the novelty works up to 12 hours.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Samsung has already started selling the Sound Tower MX-ST45B, but so far only in Brazil. The device costs $579. By the way, along with the speaker, the manufacturer gives a 6-month subscription to Spotify Premium.
