Acer, best known for producing laptops and computer hardware, has unveiled a rather unusual product for itself - an electric bicycle.

Details

The main feature of the Acer ebii is the presence of artificial intelligence, whose main task is to make the ride safer. The AI basically learns the driver's personal preferences and shifts gears according to road conditions to avoid collisions.

It is controlled via the proprietary ebiiGO app: here you can get information on battery life, recommended routes, and to unlock and lock the bike. In addition, the vehicle has an anti-theft alarm and automatically locks when the connected smartphone leaves the app area.

The bike itself is quite light - it weighs around 16 kg. It accelerates up to 25km/h, has airless tyres, 360-degree lighting and 160mm hydraulic disc brakes, and can travel up to 110km on a single charge. It takes 2.5 hours to fully charge the battery.

Acer has only announced the ebii, but has yet to say when it will go on sale or how much it will cost.
