Nothing Ear (2): reduced size, improved ANC and LHDC support for $149

Nothing, as promised, unveiled its new TWS Ear (2) earphones on 22 March.

Here's What We Know

The novelty received the same design, but the earphones are lighter and the charging case is more compact. In addition, the engineers at Nothing have improved the gadget's performance. For example, worked on a system of active noise cancellation. It became adaptive. That is, the intensity of ANC will be adjusted depending on the sound profile and ambient noise.

Nothing has also upgraded the speakers of the earphones. They got the size of 11.6 mm and boast a membrane made of graphene and polyurethane. Other new features include support for the LHDC audio codec, dual-device connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, personalised audio profiles and an extended battery life of up to 36 hours. The Ear (2) case charges via USB-C or Qi wireless technology. Incidentally, the case has IP55 protection. The earphones themselves are IP54 certified. The Ear (2) also support Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair technologies.

Nothing Ear (2) is already available for purchase on the manufacturer's official website. Depending on the country, the earphones cost $149/€149/£129.
