HP unveils Omen laptops with Intel and AMD chips and GeForce RTX 40 graphics starting at $1300

HP has updated its Omen range of laptops. The laptops get Intel Raptor Lake and AMD Ryzen 7000 processors as well as the latest generation of NVIDIA graphics cards.

Here's What We Know

The company has unveiled the Omen 16 and Omen Transcend 16 models. The former features a QHD display with 3ms response time. At the heart of the laptop is the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor with a maximum speed of 5.2Hz. The graphics card is GeForce RTX 4080. The maximum amount of RAM is 32GB and the SSD is 2TB.

The HP Omen Transcend 16 gets a Mini-LED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and 240Hz refresh rate. The response time is 7ms. The laptop has got a 97W*h battery.

The novelty offers customers Intel's Raptor Lake generation chips, including the 24-core Core i9-13900HX. The memory capacity and SSD are no different compared to the Omen 16. But the graphics subsystem is represented by a GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The manufacturer's recommended price for the HP Omen 16 was a minimum of $1300. The HP Omen Transcend 16 model costs from $1700. Sales will start before the end of spring.
