Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 - A mid-range gaming laptop with Intel Raptor Lake and RTX 40, from €1,599
Along with the Predator Triton 17 X, Acer has announced a more affordable gaming laptop. It's called the Predator Helios Neo 16 and it costs several times less.
Here's What We Know
The laptop is equipped with Intel Core i5-13500HX or Core i7-13700HX processors depending on the modification. There is a choice of bundles with one of three Ada Lovelace generation graphics cards: GeForce RTX 4050, RTX 4060 and RTX 4070.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 gets up to 32GB of DDR5-4800 RAM and two 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs in the maximum variant, which work in RAID 0 mode. The company notes the presence of an advanced cooling system with fifth-generation AeroBlade technology.
It's hard to call the novelty a compact device. In some modifications, the notebook can weigh up to 2.6 kg, and a thickness of 28.25 mm.
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 offers customers an IPS display with 165Hz refresh rate and a 16" diagonal. Resolution is 1920 x 1200 or 2560 x 1600 pixels. Brightness is 400 and 500 nits, respectively.
It features NVIDIA G-SYNC, DTS X: Ultra stereo speakers, USB-A (x3) and Thunderbolt 4 (x2) connectors, HDMI 2.1, as well as Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6. The battery capacity is 90W.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 will go on sale in June this year. The cost of the laptop in Europe starts at €1,599.
