MediaTek has unveiled the Dimensity 7050 chip: a copy of the Dimensity 1080 with support for cameras up to 200 MP and displays up to 120 Hz

MediaTek has unexpectedly announced the Dimensity 7050 processor.

Here's What We Know

According to the company's official website, the new product has exactly the same specifications as last year's Dimensity 1080 chip. It looks like the manufacturer decided to just change the name of the chip.

The Dimensity 7050 is built on TSMC's 6nm process technology. The chip has 2 2.6GHz Cortex A78 cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex A55 cores.

The processor comes with Mali G68 MC4 graphics and supports LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, up to 200 MP cameras, 120Hz FHD displays with HDR10+, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and Dual 5G.
