Kia has announced new features for its latest electric vehicle, the EV9 SUV.
Here's What We Know
The first innovation is the technology that allows it to power buildings (Vehicle-to-Building and Vehicle-to-Home). Previously, the SUV could only power electrical appliances. Current will be supplied by a 99.8 kWh battery. According to the manufacturer, this amount will be enough to supply a small house with electricity for 5-10 days.
The second innovation is the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) system. It allows the EV9 to feed its surplus energy back into the grid. On top of this, Kia has also revealed the Kia Connect Store. The shop allows you to buy various add-ons for the car. New features will be added to the car through software updates.
