Samsung has announced its largest TV equipped with an OLED display. The S90C series model is called QN83S90C.

Here's What We Know

The TV is equipped with an OLED matrix manufactured by another South Korean company, LG. The 10-bit panel has a diagonal of 83", an aspect ratio of 16 to 9, a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K UHD) and a dynamic frame refresh rate of 48-120 Hz.

The display has got support for HDR10, HLG, HDR10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR10+ Gaming and Quantum HDR. The DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage is 100% and the response time is 0.1ms.

Samsung QN83S90C hardware platform is built around a 4-core Neural Quantum Processor 4K chip. It supports artificial intelligence algorithms to improve image quality.

The model has support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and voice assistants Alexa, Bixby and Google Assistant. The software platform is the proprietary Tizen 7.0 operating system.

In terms of connectors, the Samsung QN83S90C has got USB-A, HDMI 2.1 and LAN. The TV also has Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.2 and a 2.1 format sound system. The power of the speakers is 40 watts. The VESA 400 x 300 mount allows you to mount the device on the wall.

Price & When We Can Expect It

Samsung QN83S90C will cost $5400. The new TV will go on sale by the end of this month.
