Samsung ViewFinity S9 goes global: 5K monitor with built-in webcam and Tizen TV OS on board

Samsung in January presented in South Korea ViewFinity S9 monitor, and now announced the novelty on the global market.

The device has already appeared on the official website of the manufacturer. Sales of the monitor will begin at the end of July. The novelty will compete with Apple Studio Display and will cost $1599.

Samsung ViewFinity S9 has a 27-inch display with a resolution of 5120×2880 pixels and DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage of 99%. The panel has been given a matte finish that reduces light reflection and glare. Apart from this, the screen boasts of an inbuilt colour calibration mechanism. It can also be customised via Samsung's proprietary Smart Calibration smartphone app. The device comes with an inbuilt 4K SlimFit webcam as well as Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, DisplayPort and HDMI ports. The monitor can be used to charge laptops with up to 96W of power. Samsung ViewFinity S9 runs on the Tizen TV OS operating system.
