WhatsApp on smartwatches allows you to start new conversations, as well as reply to messages by text, send voice messages, use emoji and receive calls from the wrist.

Apart from this, quick replies are also supported in the app. By the way, if your Wear OS 3 smartwatch has its own mobile connection, you can do all this without having a phone nearby.
