Lenovo has unveiled the Yoga Slim 7 laptop with exclusive Ryzen 7000 processors starting at €1330
AMD has developed Ryzen 5 7640S and Ryzen 7 7840S chips for Lenovo laptops. The processors are used in the new Yoga Slim 7 laptop.
Here's What We Know
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 is equipped with a 2.9K (2944 x 1840 pixels) OLED display. The screen is 14.5" diagonal and has VESA DisplayHDR500 certification, while the refresh rate is 90Hz.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 has six stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, up to 32GB of 6400MHz LPDDR5X type RAM and 512/1024GB SSD storage. There are no discrete graphics.
Ryzen 5 7640S has six Zen 4 cores with support for 12 virtual threads. The operating frequency of the CPU is 3.5-4.9 GHz. Ryzen 7 7840S has two more cores and four more threads. The base frequency is reduced to 3.3GHz and the peak frequency is increased to 5.1GHz.
In this respect, they are not different from the Ryzen 5 7640U and Ryzen 7 7840U respectively. A key feature of the new processors is FP8 packaging instead of FP7. This has enabled support for AMD's high-speed image transfer protocol for AMD's MIPI CSI camera interface.
The price of Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 in the modification with Ryzen 5 7640S in Europe starts at €1330. The version with Ryzen 7 7840S processor will cost at least €1430.
