Crosscall Stellar-X5 - an unusual French smartphone with DeX mode, magnetic connector and IP68 protection, priced at €900
French company Crosscall has presented an unusual smartphone. The model is called Stellar-X5 and boasts a number of interesting features.
Here's What We Know
One of the chips of Crosscall Stellar-X5 is the DeX mode. The smartphone can be connected to a monitor using the X-Dock docking station. For comfortable work there is a special interface called X-Space.
Crosscall Stellar-X5 has IP68 water protection and a mode for shooting under water. In this format of use, the display is locked, and the camera shutter release is assigned to a physical key on the body. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone is not afraid of fresh, sea and chlorinated water.
On the back cover there is a magnetic connector. It can be used to connect additional accessories, including the mentioned docking station. You can also connect an external X-Memory card slot, X-Cable data cable, X-Power battery and X-Blocker series mounts to the Crosscall Stellar-X5.
As for the basic parameters, the model has a Snapdragon 778G chip with 8GB of RAM, 128GB storage, stereo speakers, NFC and a 4,500 mA*h battery. The resolution of the main camera is 50 MP + 13MP + 2 MP, while the front camera is 16 MP. The display is based on an IPS-matrix of FHD+ format with a frame rate of 120 Hz and a diagonal of 6.49".
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Crosscall Stellar-X5 is powered by Android 13 operating system. It is scheduled to launch on 6 October 2023. The smartphone has been priced at €900.
