Circular Ring Slim: a smart ring weighing just 2g with Kira Plus artificial intelligence for $275
Circular has unveiled its new Circular Ring Slim smart ring, which the manufacturer calls the thinnest and lightest in the world.
Here's What We Know
The ring has a 2.2mm thick titanium body and weighs just 2g. It is equipped with a three-axis accelerometer, a temperature sensor to help detect fever and track a woman's cycle, as well as a PPG sensor to collect health indicators: heart rate, respiration, blood oxygen levels, stress and sleep duration.
One of the novelty features is a virtual assistant with artificial intelligence named Kira Plus, which provides personalised health information and recommendations.
There are no buttons on the ring, and tactile navigation is used for control. That is, you just need to press on the ring to select certain functions. Tactile feedback is provided for reminders - such as taking medication and doing breathing exercises. And the smart alarm clock gently wakes the user with a light vibration at the right time of the sleep cycle.
Battery life is up to 6 days.
Circular Ring Slim costs $275, but the price has been reduced to $245 during the pre-order phase (until 15 December).
