Gigabyte has announced a new gaming monitor. The model is called AORUS C049DQ and stands out with an AI algorithm that prevents burn-in.

Here's What We Know

The Gigabyte AORUS C049DQ features a curved display with 1800R radius of curvature and 32 to 9 aspect ratio. The 10-bit QD-OLED panel supports Dual Quad HD (5120 x 1440) resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology.

The monitor has received VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. Response time is 0.03ms (GtG), contrast ratio is 15,000,000:1 and DCI-P3 colour space coverage is 99%. Also note that the panel has a 49" diagonal.

To connect other devices Gigabyte AORUS C049DQ received HDMI 2.1 with CEC support, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C, USB-A and Mini-Jack. The new monitor also has a KVM switch and 10W (2 x 5W) stereo speakers in its arsenal.

An AI algorithm that prevents matrix burn-in is part of a suite of technologies collectively called OLED Care. The feature runs in the background, doesn't affect picture quality and can be manually adjusted.

The Gigabyte AORUS C049DQ's price and launch date are not specified.
