Casio G-Shock Rangeman: rugged watch with GPS, solar panel and brutal design for $500
Casio has unveiled new watches in the G-Shock Rangeman line: the GPRH1000-9 in yellow and the GPRH1000-1 in classic black.
Here's What We've Seen
This is a massive rugged watch for thrill-seekers, extreme sportsmen and fans of outdoor activities. The case with numerous "ribs", steel inserts and buttons protected from accidental presses is not afraid of shocks, dust, dirt and water.
The watch features a standard backlit monochrome display, GPS and six sensors to track health and activity metrics. Both models support 9 activities including trekking, running, cycling and swimming. In addition, there is a heart rate monitor, barometer, thermometer, gyroscope, and digital compass.
The manufacturer does not specify the battery life, but Casio G-Shock Rangeman can be charged using a conventional charger or via solar panel.
G-Shock Rangeman GPRH1000-9 and GPRH1000-1 will go on sale on January 19 for $500.
