IKEA introduced VALLHORN, PARASOLL and BADRING: Zigbee-enabled security sensors for the smart home

IKEA Corporation announced its entry into the market of security sensors for smart home, announcing three devices in this category at once: VALLHORN, PARASOLL and BADRING.

Here's What We Know

IKEA PARASOLL is a door or window opening sensor. It is controlled via an app on your smartphone. As for PARASOLL, it is a motion sensor that can be used outdoors or indoors. It has an inbuilt LED light that can illuminate the surroundings when motion is detected. Users can adjust the colour and intensity of the light.

The BADRING sensor is designed to monitor water leakage. When a leak is detected, it notifies the user via an app or alarm. All three products are connected via the DIRIGERA hub and support the Zigbee protocol.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The BADRING sensor will be available in April. As for VALLHORN and PARASOL, they will hit the market in the "coming months". IKEA has not yet revealed the prices of the new products.
