Belkin unveiled a 14-port docking station that is certified for Chrome OS laptops

American accessory manufacturer Belkin has announced its new product.

What we know

It is a docking station. It connects via USB-C and boasts of having 14 ports as well as a certification that guarantees support for Chromebooks. In addition, the device is capable of updating the firmware via Chrome OS.

There are two HDMI 2.0b ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports (you can connect up to three monitors), one USB 3.2 Gen2: USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode support, several USB-C connectors for data transfer, one USB-C port for charging (65 W), and three USB-A (10 Gbps) ports. Incidentally, one of them supports BC 1.2 and Apple Charge technology. In addition, the dock has two more USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm jack.

Price and when to expect

Sales of the docking station will start in December, with the price $189.
